COOKIE POLICY

This Cookie Policy is provided pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (the “Privacy Code”), implementing Directive 2002/58/EC (“ePrivacy”), and to the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021 on the use of cookies and other tracking tools. It forms an integral part of the Privacy Policy of Mative S.r.l.
WHAT IS A COOKIE?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone) and that are sent back to the site on the next visit. Alongside cookies, other technologies also store information on the device or access information already stored there — including browser local storage and unique identifiers. The law treats them in the same way as cookies, which is why the table below lists all of them and not only cookies in the strict sense.
Cookies set by the owner of the site, Mative S.r.l., are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other parties are called third-party cookies: in that case it is the third party that determines their purpose and duration, and that party's own notice should be consulted.
THE CATEGORIES WE USE
Strictly necessary cookies and technologies
These are indispensable for the site to work and to deliver the services the user has expressly requested: they remember the choice made on the cookie banner and the selected language and display theme, and they protect the access page from automated submissions. Under Article 122 of the Privacy Code they do not require consent, but they are listed here for transparency. Disabling them through browser settings may impair the functioning of the site.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used: which pages are consulted most, how visitors move through them, and what errors they encounter. The data collected is pseudonymised — not anonymous — and is aggregated for analysis.
These cookies are set only after express consent has been given through the banner. If the user refuses or makes no choice at all, the Google Analytics script is not even loaded by the browser and no analytics cookie is written.
Profiling and marketing cookies
We do not use any. This site hosts no advertising cookies, builds no individual user profiles for promotional purposes, and shares no data with advertising networks or commercial partners for those partners' own marketing purposes.
Embedded third-party content
The map in the footer is embedded content from Google Maps. It is not loaded automatically: it appears only after the user clicks the “Show the map” button. Until then, no request is sent to Google's servers. From the moment of activation, Google's terms and privacy policy apply.

Google Analytics involves a transfer of data to the United States, carried out on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Full details of recipients and safeguards are set out in § 6 of the Privacy Policy.
HOW TO GIVE, CHANGE OR WITHDRAW CONSENT
On the first visit, a banner is shown that allows the user to accept all cookies, reject all of them, or customise the choice by category. Rejecting is immediate and takes the same number of clicks as accepting. Until a choice is made, no non-essential technology is activated.
The choice can be changed or withdrawn at any time, as easily as it was given, by clicking the “Cookies settings” link in the footer of every page of the site. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: refused services are deactivated without needing to reload the page.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
MANAGING COOKIES FROM YOUR BROWSER
Independently of the banner, you can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, or to warn you before any cookie is set. Instructions vary by browser:
Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode (“incognito”, “InPrivate”) at the end of which session cookies are deleted. Please note that blocking cookies indiscriminately through browser settings also deletes the technical cookies that store your choice on the banner: the banner will therefore be shown again on your next visit.
